| Question Number 1: This is a request for information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 regarding the local rollout and implementation of the Federated Data Platform (FDP). Please could you provide full answers to the following two questions and supply copies of the documents requested where appropriate. In the below questions the term live, in relation to the FDP, refers to the trust having the platform available for use, known as a local instance. If the trust has a live local instance, but has not adopted or trialled any FDP apps, please only answer question 2. a) If the FDP is currently live at your trust, please can you describe the process/methodology by which the trust has internally monitored the roll out of individual apps in terms of effectiveness, potential risks, patient impact/engagement, appropriate data management and cost effectiveness. Please could you specify the types of assessment tools used, and provide copies of them including, but not limited to copies of the following documents: 鈥� Data protection impact assessments. 鈥� Equality impact assessments. 鈥� Information governance committee assessments/reports. 鈥� Risk assessments. 鈥� Business case. 鈥� Board minutes discussing the Federated Data Platform. 鈥� Implementation plan. 鈥� Academic research or evaluations b) Please could you also list any working groups or committees which had oversight of, or responsibility for, the roll out and evaluation of FDP apps and what their remits were. | |
| Answer To Question 1: - Data protection impact assessments. None. Databases (鈥淚nstances鈥�) are owned by NHS England under contract and national instances are controlled by the NHSE teams. Each Trust is operator of local instances. The instances have individual 鈥減roducts鈥� which are separate from one another. See sections 10 or 11 on the respective DPIAs. These list the identified datasets for each product. See attached also 鈥� Information governance committee assessments/reports. Minutes from DPIA sections when the FDP was mentioned but no specific reports on FDP 鈥� Risk assessments. These are part of each individual DPIA 鈥� Business case. None. These are NHSE led products 鈥� Board minutes discussing the Federated Data Platform. If any have been discussed they can be found - /about-us/the-trust-board/board-papers/ 鈥� Implementation plan. Not aware of any 鈥� Academic research or evaluations Not aware of any b) Please could you also list any working groups or committees which had oversight of, or responsibility for, the roll out and evaluation of FDP apps and what their remits were. The Trust is not aware of local working group at SFT, but the oversight will be via Group Digital Services Management Board & SFT F&P committee by way of a quarterly report.
